Yesterday I started the 3 Day Refresh. It is a 3 day program designed to clean out your system and give it a boost. It focuses on small plant based meals, healthy fats, and smoothies to get you feeling your best. I normally am not a fan of any type of cleanse, but I chose to do this one because it is all natural ingredients and you EAT! This girl does not go without food these days.
So I began my day with a big glass of water and one of my favorites, tropical strawberry shakeology with banana and mango. It is the perfect way to kick start your energy and mood in the morning. Plus, I like to imagine I am somewhere tropical on a beach while I drink it ;)
Midmorning, you drink a fiber sweep drink. It contains, psyllium, flax, and chia. The instructions say to drink right after mixing and they mean RIGHT after. Adelynn starting crying after I poured so I went to sooth her and came back to clumps. I still drank it and I enjoyed the flavor , but it would definitely be much better sooner. I will let you know how day 2 goes!
Lunch was amazing! I love the vanilla refresh. It is packed with plant protein and has a delicious flavor. I blend mine with lots of ice to make it like a delicious frappe. I also got to enjoy a large and yummy salad and delicious strawberries. I felt extremely satisfied after lunch.
Midafternoon is snack time. You get a veggie and a fat. I chose to have red pepper with mashed avocado. I squeezed some fresh lime juice in too. YUM!
I CANNOT rave enough about dinner. I got to have another vanilla smoothie, but the asparagus, OH MY GOSH!! I never would have thought to put almonds and asparagus together, but I could seriously eat this every day. Here is the recipe.
At the end of day 1 I felt amazing. I was proud of my choices and my body was feeling great. I can't wait for the next couple of days! This is the perfect kick off to the 21 day fix that I am started on Monday! Let me know if you are ready to take control of your health and do it with me! Accountability is key!
